1. You set group discussion in post-reading, could you talk about your understanding of group activities?
The most important aim of English teaching is to cultivate students’ communication competence, and group activity is a common mode of activities in classroom teaching of primary school. It is an activity in which students are the real host of the class,and it’s an effective means of cultivating students’ communicative competence. In group activities, teachers should tell the topic of discussion and give enough time to let every students join in the activities, and give some related words if necessary. 2. How do you think your step of warming-up?
In this lesson, I lead in the topic by singing a song related to animals and showing pictures, the combination of two ways can create an atmosphere of learning and attract students’ attention. Firstly, I will show some pictures of animals which they are familiar with, and then ask some questions about these pictures. After answering, I will tell students some new words about animals, which can naturally lead students into the new lesson.
But in this class, all the answers of students is imagined, I will adapt myself to changing circumstances in the real class.
